The Design Guidebook
The Design Guidebook is a personalized, professionally produced design document built specifically for your property and your goals. It takes everything explored during the on-site consultation and translates it into a written and visual reference you can actually use. This is something to share with a contractor, work from in phases, or return to every time you're ready to make a decision about your yard. It is not a generic template or a collection of stock images. Every page is specific to your land, your lifestyle, and your design direction.
Best for: Homeowners in Tucson and Pima County who want real design thinking in their hands but aren't yet ready for a fully drawn plan. This tier is particularly well-suited to those who prefer a phased approach, tackling the project incrementally over time, as well as those who want something concrete to hand a contractor without commissioning a full set of drawings. It's also a strong fit for clients who want to develop a clear design vision before investing in CAD work.
Primary goals achieved: The Guidebook gives you a personalized design framework to work from independently. By the time it's delivered, you'll have a clear design direction, a general plant direction suited to your site and climate, material and furnishing guidance, layout ideas, and element recommendations. All organized into a single reference document you can use on your own terms, share with others, or build on through additional services.
Deliverables:
— Everything included in Tier 1: the on-site consultation and written summary are the foundation this booklet is built from
— A custom PDF design guidebook of approximately 10–20 pages, tailored entirely to your property
— Project brief and design narrative establishing the overall vision and direction
— Primary and secondary goals, clearly defined and used to anchor every recommendation
— Curated inspiration imagery with written commentary connecting each image to your specific project
— Material palette overview covering ground surfaces, wall treatments, shade elements, and accent materials
— Plant palette direction organized by category such as sculptural, ground cover, vine, and pollinator-friendly shrubs
— Featured design element ideas (the primary recommendation that anchors the space and brings the vision together)
— Supporting elements section covering secondary features that complete the overall design
— Clear next steps outlining options for revision, add-ons, and the path to a Concept Design Plan
— Delivered as a PDF; printed copies available upon request
— Deliverable presented in person or over Google Meet
Payment & process: A deposit is required to get work underway, with the remaining balance due upon delivery. The consultation fee is credited toward the total, so nothing is lost. Once the deposit is received, your project gets scheduled and work begins.
How to book: Fill out the Tier 2 inquiry form on this page. Once submitted, we'll schedule a brief phone call to talk through your goals, answer any questions, and confirm the scope. If it's a good fit, I'll send over your invoice and we'll get started!
